Take Control, Find Your Path Forward, and Create the Life You Really Want
Start now with my fail-proof Guide on how to free yourself from stress + overwhelm, get unstuck, and find your path forward so you can leave the daily struggle behind, spend more time on what matters most, and start living a more balanced life.
Hey there, I’m Heather.
Executive Coach. Recovering Attorney. Writer. Cancer Survivor. Glass is half-full girl and silver-lining finder. Happiness warrior who fights fiercely for those she cares about. Believer in living boldly.
I help people (like you) find the happiness, purpose, and “balance” they’ve been searching for – yet never seem to find. Happiness and feeling balanced is all about designing your life the way you want to live it. And living with purpose and intention. It’s about living boldly and grabbing hold of your happiness.
I want you to be inspired and empowered to go after your dreams boldly – with purpose and passion. Each and every day.
This doesn’t mean that your life will be perfect. Life is messy and that’s not changing. But there’s a way to live life to its fullest and with a sense of calm, peace and well-being. It’s all about living with intention and purpose, by taking control over your life.
Not sure where to start? I can help you with that.
Emower yourself by taking the first step to grab hold of your happiness in life – so you can ditch the overwhelm, stress, and guilt. Because you deserve to live a life you love. Are you ready?
“You have to leave the city of your comfort and go into the wilderness of your intuition. You can’t get there by bus, only by hard work and risk, and by not quite knowing what you’re doing. What you’ll discover will be wonderful. What you’ll discover will be yourself.”
– Alan Alda
We each have a story. Welcome to mine…
I started my dream career – and hated it. But eventually I found my way and learned to enjoy my life, career and all.
As far back as I can remember I wanted to be a lawyer. I was driven to succeed and worked hard. I graduated with honors and started working at a prestigious law firm. But I hated it. After wanting it so much, this was difficult to deal with. I felt trapped working for clients that didn’t care whether I burned myself out working crazy hours. But I did it – what choice did I have? Besides, there was the promise that it would get better as I moved up the ranks.
As I got more senior I noticed that the carrot I was trying to reach moved further away each time I took a step closer. It wasn’t getting any better. It was getting worse. Something had to change. So, I decided to be bold and design my life and my law practice my way – according to my rules. And I realized that I had plenty of choices. Choices I hadn’t previously acknowledged.
I also found that the real problem wasn’t my job. It was me. I hadn’t been honoring myself in the decisions I’d been making. So, I changed the way I did things. And I built my practice based on my values and priorities – honoring what I wanted and needed for success (as defined by me). Before I knew it, I was a partner in my firm with a great book of business. And I spent quality time with my family (especially my husband and boys). I felt balanced and was thriving. Because I was honoring myself in everything I did.
There aren’t a lot of pictures of me without hair.
And then cancer hit. But I grabbed hold of a silver lining.
January 19, 2012. My doctor called with the news. I had breast cancer. And not just any cancer. It was extremely aggressive. My doctors were worried that the cancer had spread. My boys were only 6 and 2 at the time. I kept wondering how they would be affected – especially if I died. Would my 2 year old even remember me?
My cancer journey lasted for the better part of a year. And it changed me forever. Cancer taught me that I’m a fighter. And it reiterated that I wanted to define myself based on who I am – not what happens to me. I didn’t want to be defined by my cancer.
Thankfully, I made it to the other side and I’m now cancer free. But I learned some valuable lessons from my journey. It taught me that life is truly precious and that I needed to serve people in a different way – in a more personal way. I discovered that you can empower others through service (because I was empowered and strengthened by everyone who served me in my time of need). And that I want to serve others and empower them. I found a silver lining and grabbed hold of it.
My new role is to help my clients live boldly and find happiness. You could call me a happiness warrior.
Once I realized that I wanted to serve people in a different way, coaching seemed like a perfect fit. To be honest, I coached those who worked for me as a lawyer for years. I just didn’t realize what I was doing was called “coaching” (but I do now).
I left my law career behind (which, after over 18 years of practice felt a bit weird). But I know that this is where I’m supposed to be.
I’m not one to believe that everything happens for a reason. But I do believe that everything that happens is an opportunity for learning and growth. Learning that can and should be used to help others. Cancer gave me insight and knowledge about who I am and how I want to live my life. It taught me some valuable lessons and changed my course forever. And now I want to help you change your course so that you can live your life to its fullest and be happy. Because what’s the point of living if we aren’t happy?
A few things about me …
“There is no passion to be found in playing small- in settling for a life that is less than you are capable of living.”

I’m a credentialed and ACC certified coach by the International Coach Federation (ICF) and a member of the ICF. This means that I’m governed by (and any coaching that I do with you is governed by) the ICF code of ethics.
I’m trained by Coach U (a certified coaching school) as a Core Essentials Graduate and take continuing education through them now. When it comes to coaching, being credentialed and certification matters. Not everyone who calls themselves a “coach” is trained, nor do they necessarily have true coaching experience. A certified and credentialed coach has both. And they’re bound by certain professional and ethical standards.
As an attorney, being trained and certified was important to me. And so is continuing education and training. I want to constantly learn and grow as a coach. And I want to abide by the best practices of the coaching industry to serve my clients in the best way possible.
